Paul Rose

Global Voyages

Journeys of all kinds feature in the Spring programme beginning with one of the most fateful of all time: the centenary of the sinking of the Titanic is marked by the ten-strong White Star Line-Up.

Elsewhere Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham reflect on a quarter century's worth of musical journeys whilst Lunasa make a welcome return with their special brand of Celtic music. Cuba's Sierra Maestra, Mali's Vieux Farka Touré and an all-star line-up from Madagascar represent three countries with strong and distinctive musical heritage and influence. Finally explorer Paul Rose may not have visited every country featured in the series but those destinations he has reached - from Antarctica to Everest - ensure a truly global perspective.
