Piano Appeal

The Turner Sims Piano Appeal is seeking to raise £70,000 towards the purchase of a brand new Steinway piano for the hall.  We are delighted that Paul Lewis and Julian Joseph, regular performers at and great friends of the Turner Sims have agreed to be Patrons of the Appeal.  The Appeal has two major elements:

’88 keys’ to a Steinway As part of our Appeal, the Turner Sims is offering individuals, companies and groups the opportunity to support us by sponsoring one or more of the piano’s 88 keys. Simply download and complete the pledge form below, state the name you would like listed for your key and help shape the future of music at the Turner Sims as a special donor. Each key* may be sponsored for a donation of £275. (*Excluding the centre octave. To discuss sponsorship of the centre octave, please contact Kevin Appleby, Concert Hall Manager at the Turner Sims, directly.) Please state on the form if you would like to buy a specific key, for instance one in which your favourite piece is written, and we will endeavour to meet your request. Your donation will contribute towards the cost of the Steinway Concert Grand Piano.  Any additional funds raised will be used to maintain the piano (such as annual regulation/adjustments, insurance and any other instrument requirements) as approved by the management of the Turner Sims and the Piano Appeal.
