Summer Festival | Pegasuses Turn It Up! + Support From Lucy Kitchen

FRIDAY 28 JUNE - 8:00 PM

Folk meets Americana as we present our first Turn It Up local associate, Pegasuses.

Indie-Folk duo Pegasuses is a regular act on the Southampton music circuit. At its core are two voices, Laura and Dave. Their bitter and sweet blend of close vocal harmonies and some darkly comic lyrics have made them local favourites.

Supported by Turner Sims and SoCo Music Project, Pegasuses have turned up the volume on their act. The duo will be joined by a full band including fellow Sotonian Russell Marsden.

Give a warm welcome and your loudest applause as we celebrate Southampton stars.

Turn It Up is a new development opportunity for local musicians. It is presented by Turner Sims in association with SoCo Music Project. Applications will open for our 2025 Turn It Up artists soon!

+ support from Lucy Kitchen

Supporting Pegasuses tonight, folk singer-songwriter Lucy Kitchen’s songs are embellished with only the absolutely essential sonic details. She is often compared to the likes of Joni Mitchell, Beth Orton and, vocally, to Sandy Denny. Her most recent release, The Stabal Sessions EP, is a tapestry of melancholic melodies, captivating vocals and personal storytelling. The recording marks her first musical project since the loss of her husband to cancer last year, and serves as an exploration of Lucy’s journey through loss.

Before the concert:

The Vibe Lounge: Baby Panna 7pm
The Vibe are a team of passionate musicians from all over Southampton. Our exciting projects aim to reach young people, highlighting the amazing music scene in our city!

Join them and UK jazz rapper Baby Panna in the foyer for live music before Pegasuses and Lucy Kitchen.
