A message from Jazz South
Taking a pause and celebrating achievements so far…
Jazz South is an Ambition for Excellence Arts Council funded programme pioneering jazz development across the South of the UK outside London. Working with jazz practitioners including artists, educators, festival and venue promoters, they aim to support artist talent, strengthen connections, support improved and sustainable jazz practice and nurture the next generation in jazz. Jazz South strive to amplify ambitious work across the region, and work in partnership regionally/nationally to create opportunities.
Led and hosted by Turner Sims, Southampton, who planned and raised a major funding award from Arts Council England to underpin the project, Jazz South is a programme that will provide a range of new opportunities in the region including touring, commissions, masterclasses, residentials and networking events.
