PAID EXCEL INTERNSHIP: PROGRAMME & MARKETING INTERN

Do you love live music? Do you want to learn more about working in an internationally renowned music venue? Are you looking for an opportunity that will enhance your student life, teach you new skills and look great on your CV? 

Turner Sims Southampton is looking for two enthusiastic students to become Programme and Marketing Interns. This is an amazing opportunity to join the Turner Sims team here on Highfield Campus; play a key role in the promotion of our world-class classical, jazz, world and folk music
programmes and gain first-hand experience of working in the music industry!

The successful applicants will be organised and adaptable with an eye for detail, able to show initiative and work well with minimum supervision. This is a varied role, which involves compiling and designing concert programmes, sourcing advertising, writing blogs, producing reviews following live performances and contributing to print and digital marketing plans. You will need a good grasp of standard IT packages, social media, be willing to discuss advertising opportunities with companies and liaise with artists to obtain copy for the concert programmes.

The posts will commence on Monday 4th March 2019 through until Friday 2nd August 2019 inclusive of University holiday periods.
The rate of pay will be £8.44 per hour, working 1 day per week x 22 weeks (with only 4 hours required on the final week).

PAID EXCEL INTERNSHIP: ARCHIVING INTERN

Are you interested in a career in archiving? Are you looking for an opportunity to manage and maintain documents and other materials that have historical and cultural importance?

Turner Sims Southampton is offering this new opportunity to undertake essential archiving of our projects so that we can relay the story of the concert hall in new engaging ways to existing and future stakeholders.

You will work closely with the Concert Hall Manager and Head of Operations to develop project case studies which could be used to lever funding and contribute to University and creative and cultural research projects. You will also support Turner Sims Staff develop dedicated web pages on our web site that feature historical projects in an engaging and interesting way.

The successful applicants will be organised and adaptable with an eye for detail, able to show initiative and work well with minimum supervision.

CASUAL BAR STAFF WANTED

Bar staff wanted for evening and day time events, weekdays and weekends, mainly during University of Southampton term times.

You must be able to cope with busy intervals and work as part of a close-knit team.

Three hour minimum call out at £5.90 p.h if 18-20 years of age, £7.38 p.h if 21-24 years of age and £7.83 for those 25+
