Engagement and Participation

Family Summer Day © whatabouttheash

At Turner Sims Southampton, our vision is to connect communities locally and globally through the joy of live music. Our mission is to share live music that connects, moves and inspires people through extraordinary experiences in our venue and beyond.

Our engagement and participation activities bring people of all ages and abilities together to explore the potential of music; learning, exploring and creating music together.

We work with incredible musicians and partners to share the joy of live music, from activities in schools or communities, to experiencing music together at our venue.

Schools Concerts

We invite students and teachers, to see international, world class musicians at our venue in the green setting of University of Southampton’s Highfield campus. Our concerts can include pre and post-concert Q&A, venue tours, opportunities to meet world class musicians and our team including sound engineers, lighting, and front of house.

The Marquis Hill schools concert was brilliant! It is so great to be able to walk to a concert in our local area. Also, visiting the University campus encouraged questions from our students about who can study and what subjects might be taught at a university. The whole experience was fantastic!’
