Colour Abstraction
Barbro Fitzjohn
Monday 14th January – Sunday 10th March 2019
The act of painting sets off a flutter of happiness. Whilst using colour to find line and shape I seek to create a visually rich sensation to be shared with others.
Barbro attained a BA in Visual Art at Winchester School of Art 2000-2004 and has more recently studied at The People’s High School in Svalöv, Sweden. She is now a student of Abi Kremer’s Life Long Learning Class of Reflective Art Practice at The University of Southampton.
All artwork is available for sale via the Box Office, payment can be made by cash, credit/debit card or cheque made payable to University of Southampton. Once paid for artwork may be collected from the Box Office after the exhibition closes.
98 Matchboxes – SoCo Music Project
You can own a small piece of original art painted onto a matchbox for only £10. All proceeds from the sale of 98 Matchboxes will be donated to the local Southampton charity SoCo Music.
We are passionate about supporting music at all levels! Engage covers our supported music making for children, young people and vulnerable adults. Elevate is about supporting music careers, though recording, promoting, training and development.
Your matchbox will be delivered/posted to you at the end of the exhibition.
