Harmonies of Home : A Community Song Bank Sharing Performance

Join us for Harmonies of Home, a celebratory and relaxed concert that brings together songs from around the world that have journeyed to Southampton, alongside the rich traditions of opera.

The programme features participants from Sanctuary of Songs, presented by Welsh National Opera, the CLEAR Project, and the Southampton Centre for Music Education and Social Justice. Highlights include a solo cello performance by Marharyta Dorosh, vibrant Punjabi singing and dancing by the Cross-Cultural Hub and University music students, and a newly composed, participatory piece by composer and activist Uri Agnon.

This event is supported by the Public Engagement with Research Unit (PERU) Fund, the Southampton Centre for Music Education and Social Justice, the Music Department at the University of Southampton, and Turner Sims.
