A programme of colour, energy and joy from the magnetic saxophonist.

Jess Gillam is a trailblazing saxophonist and presenter. Described by The Times as ‘uniquely mercurial,’ she lights up every stage with her electrifying performances and vibrant personality.

She made history as the youngest soloist ever to play at the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Since then, Jess has performed on major stages around the world.

Offstage, she’s just as dynamic. Her award-winning BBC Radio 3 show, ‘This Classical Life’, is now in its seventh season. Each week, Jess shares her love of music with listeners in her own fresh and friendly style.

In this concert, Jess teams up with pianist Zeynep Özsuca and bassist Sam Becker. Together, they bring a thrilling mix of music – from jazz legends like Phil Woods and Sidney Bechet, to baroque brilliance from Corelli, and the joyful swing of Gershwin. Expect surprises, favourites with a twist, and a touch of folk.

A true inspiration…she frankly rocks.
