Swing Into Christmas 2023 With Down For The Count Orchestra

SATURDAY 09 DECEMBER - 3:00 PM TO SATURDAY 09 DECEMBER - 7:30 PM

Presented by the Down for the Count Orchestra

The Down for the Count Orchestra returns to Turner Sims for their annual Christmas spectacular – featuring the music of Nat ‘King’ Cole, Billie Holiday, Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald and many more performed in a luscious 30-piece orchestral setting evoking the sounds of the great Capitol Studios recordings.

Expect to hear faithful recreations of the best music of the swing era including I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Let’s Face The Music and Dance and ‘S Wonderful, alongside original arrangements of jazz and festive standards written by principal conductor Mike Paul-Smith and arranger Simon Joyner including The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting) and It’s Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas.
