Last Saturday, our brilliant Southampton musicians, Anna, Issa and Matt, headed to London for the first co-composition and writing day with The Third Orchestra. Under the guidance of the director of the orchestra, composer and music leader, Peter Wiegold, they began the process of creating new music together, ahead of their concert with the orchestra on Thursday 30 March.
It kind of feels like this whole project is about a melting pot of difference… what a combination here.

The Ripple Effect culminates in a performance for local schools at the end of March. The new music created will also be showcased in a public performance from The Third Orchestra, including the Southampton musicians, on Thursday 30 March.
