Temporary Closure of Turner Sims Southampton

We regret to announce that, due to the continuing spread of the coronavirus, and following government advice, Turner Sims is now closed until further notice.

The health and safety of our audiences, artists, staff and volunteers is of prime importance.

All those who have purchased tickets for events at Turner Sims and which are now cancelled are entitled to refunds.

We are actively working with artists and collaborators to determine whether events are cancelled or postponed. We will be in contact with ticket holders directly in regards to all events. Your patience in regards to waiting for announcements would be much appreciated whilst we converse with artists and collaborators.

Where alternative dates have been arranged we would request that patrons consider moving their booking to the new date.

Turner Sims is reliant on the income from ticket sales and the loss of revenue through closure will prove challenging. If you have tickets for an event which has now been cancelled, you may wish to consider offering your refund as a donation. Thank you to those who have already been generous in donating for events which have been cancelled.

Clearly the challenges we all now face are quite unprecedented.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming you back to Turner Sims as soon as possible.

We are monitoring the situation daily, and will share any updates.

Take care and keep well

Turner Sims is part of the University of Southampton. For the latest information on COVID-19 (coronavirus) please see the UK Government’s advice and the University’s dedicated webpage.
