Acclaimed Georgian-British pianist Luka Okros returns to Turner Sims for an unforgettable evening of Chopin.

Renowned for his poetic expression and technical brilliance, Luka presents an all-Chopin programme featuring the composer’s four dramatic Ballades, tender Nocturnes, the beloved Fantaisie-Impromptu, and the monumental Piano Sonata No. 2 in B-flat minor, known for its iconic “Funeral March.” 

Luka Okros has captivated audiences in 47 countries and graced the stages of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Alte Oper Frankfurt, Carnegie Hall, Het Concertgebouw, Konzerthaus Berlin, Palau de la Musica Valencia, Royal Opera House Mumbai, Southbank Centre, Teatro Solís, Toronto Centre for the Arts, Vienna Konzerthaus and Wigmore Hall. 

A multiple prize-winner, Luka has been awarded First Prizes at the Hong Kong International Piano Competition, Valencia International Competition, and the Hannover Chopin Competition, among others. In addition to an international career, he serves as Assistant Director at Bechstein Hall, London’s new flagship concert venue.
