A mixtape of light, sound and discovery.

BSO: After Dark is a new collaboration between Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and the Turner Sims’ Assistant Producers. This musical experience is themed around journeys, both journeys within the self and journeys beyond our planet.

An ensemble from Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra perform works film scores and pieces that transport the listener, including works by Hans Zimmer, Max Richter, and Arvo Pärt. Special guest artist Baby Panna performs original spoken word alongside music such as ‘Bundle of Joy’ from film ‘Inside Out‘, ‘Venus, The Bringer of Peace’ from Holst’s ‘Planets’, and ‘A Change is Gonna Come’ by Sam Cooke.

This immersive concert with atmospheric lighting reimagines what classical music can be, exploring how music and words can be used together to create a tapestry of human experience and wonder.
