Cellist Tabitha Selley and pianist Cheryl Tan shine a spotlight on female composers whose music was often overlooked in their time.

Together, as the Glamorgan Duo, the two artists bring these powerful voices to today’s audiences.

Let them take you on a journey from the cosy setting of 19th-century parlours to the grand stage. You’ll hear music by Fanny Mendelssohn and Louise Farrenc, played on a beautiful 1826 Broadwood fortepiano. Then, the duo switches to the Turner Sims Steinway grand for the bold, expressive sonatas of Mélanie Bonis and Rebecca Clarke.

Each piece tells its own story. The programme explores different eras and cultures, celebrating the creativity and resilience of women who made music despite many obstacles.
