  • The Box Office phoneline is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 1.30pm – 4.30pm, from Tuesday 30 June – Wednesday 9 September.
  • You can still email them at info@turnersims.co.uk or leave them a message on 023 8059 5151 and they will respond as soon as possible during their opening hours.
  • Tickets, memberships and gift vouchers are available for purchase online throughout this period.
  • The Box Office (and the building!) will reopen on Monday 14 September at 1.30pm, and will then revert to normal hours: 1.30pm – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. For events and at weekends, the Box Office opens 2 hours before event start time until 15 minutes after event start time.

Recording and filming

Record your next masterpiece in our purpose-built concert hall with superb acoustics.

The excellent sound quality in our auditorium is renowned. Television programme Rock of All Ages for BBC2 was filmed here in September 2021, whilst artists including Denys Baptiste, Cordelia Williams, Slowly Rolling Camera, SOMM Recordings, Nova Foresta Classical Players, and Neil Cowley have all recorded at Turner Sims.

Recording Hire

  • Hire includes use of green room and dressing rooms to be used as control rooms
  • Hire of the Steinway Grand Piano is extra but charge only applies once, even if it’s a 2/3 day recording
  • Additional tunings are extra

 

  • Hirers are required to visit Turner Sims for a site visit prior to recording/filming session to receive health and safety briefing and building tour
  • We can recommend contacts for recording equipment or technical support if needed
