A musical narrative shaped by the two main languages of Latin American culture, seen through the experience of someone who has lived permanently between both worlds.

In an imagined territory somewhere in between – where bloodlines intertwine and sounds speak an invented language – two solitary beings meet. Their encounter becomes a journey through memory, identity and belonging, connecting the places, cultures and musical traditions that have shaped my life…

RAÍCES (Roots) is a concert that weaves together the music, composers and stories of my home, Brazil; my homeland, Argentina; and the place from which it all began: Europe – Spain, Italy and France.

Along this musical journey, Tom Jobim, Carlos Gardel, J. S. Bach, Astor Piazzolla, Ennio Morricone and John Coltrane meet alongside my own compositions.

The concert is a musical narrative shaped by the two main languages of Latin American culture, seen through the experience of someone who has lived permanently between both worlds, while also having spent significant periods of his life in Europe and the United States.

The approximately 50-minute performance combines saxophone, piano, storytelling and ‘more’ – an invitation to explore the roots, journeys and encounters that shape an artist’s identity.

Blas will be accompanied by pianist Diego Gonzalo.
