‘In recent years, we have been on a quest to move away from the big, familiar brands found in supermarkets, chain pubs and restaurants to focus more on supporting small businesses around us in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. In doing this, we hope to give our visitors a local flavour which is different to one they’d find elsewhere.
We have real ale from Eastleigh and Droxford, cider from Alton, and spirits from Longparish, Upton Grey, Winchester and Ryde. We also sell ice cream from the New Forest and brew our coffee from beans roasted less than two miles away.
Although we have not yet been able to source wine made in Hampshire, we do stock The Uncommon Bubbly Rosé from Kent. Not only does that give us carbon brownie points on the air mile front, but they come in cute little recyclable cans! They are also a certified B Corps company, which means that they are committed to a fairer and more sustainable way of doing business: another thing we look out for when choosing our Turner Sims’ suppliers.
We take our responsibility to the planet and all its inhabitants very seriously. We are happy to be able to provide vegan chocolate, snacks, drinks and of course ice cream for those who want it. We also have a range of products for those with gluten intolerance.
If you have any questions about our bar offer, please ask our bar staff who are always happy to help.’
