The Vibe Lounge | Nomad

Join us for The Vibe Lounge, a 40-minute free performance in our intimate foyer space, taking place just before the concert in the main auditorium.

Performing at Turner Sims for the first time, Nomad is a modern jazz-fusion band that compose and perform original music. Based in Southampton, they play in a range of venues in and around the city, including The Concorde in Eastleigh, The Brook in Southampton and Harmony House.

Studying music at the University of Southampton, each member comes from a different musical background – whether it’s rock, classical or swing – adding a fusion twist to their modern jazz sound. Nomad strives to write and perform complex and engaging music, which characterises their unique style, pushing beyond traditional jazz conventions.
