Soumik Datta is an award-winning sarod musician and composer. He blends ambient soundscapes, spoken word, and Indian classical roots to create an experience that is both emotive and immersive.   

With the evocative voice of the sarod at its heart, ‘Travellers’ is a sonic journey that layers field recordings and immersive sound design with live music. It stretches time and pulses between memories, transporting audiences across the invisible borders that divide land, places, and people.   

This performance is part of Soumik’s ‘Melodies in Slow Motion’ Tour. This seven-month journey across India brings his music to concert halls, homes, heritage sites, juvenile centres, national borders, and schools, interacting with marginalised communities that often go unheard.
