Trio Bohémo is an award-winning Czech chamber ensemble known for their dynamic performances and mastery of the classical piano trio repertoire. This exhilarating programme features Dvorak’s romantically intense ‘Dumky’ Trio (from the Ukrainian Duma meaning epic ballads). The music celebrates the trio’s roots in Bohemia, and showcases their exceptional verve and charisma.
About Trio Bohémo
Over the last five years, Trio Bohémo has swiftly emerged as a force on the international chamber music scene. After winning a host of high-profile chamber music prizes, debuts followed at leading venues such as the Vienna Musikverein, Wigmore Hall in London, and Stoller Hall in Manchester, as well as major festivals including Prague Spring Festival, Schwarzwald Musikfestival and Gent Festival van Vlaanderen.
In 2024,the trio released their debut CD for the label Supraphon, featuring works by Smetana and Schubert. The Guardian chose it as the Classical Album of the week, hailing the performance as ‘utterly convincing’. BBC Magazine gave it five stars, claiming the performance of Smetana to be an ‘extraordinary standout’. They are regular guests on BBC Radio 3 ‘In Tune’.
