Prepare to be amazed by a four-hands, one-piano recital that showcases the rare chemistry of two world-class pianists working seamlessly as one.

Described as “piano magicians” by The Arts Desk, Pavel and Samson have been living and working together ever since their early student days. Both also successful solo pianists, the pair began to seriously explore the four-hand repertoire whilst marooned at home during the pandemic. Many of these ‘’pandemic’’ concerts can be found on YouTube, playing stunning duo recitals to no – or very few – audience members. Their joint discography for Harmonia Mundi has met huge critical acclaim, including a Diapason d’Or for ‘Schubert/Desyatnikov’ and a Gramophone Award for ‘Stravinsky/Ravel’.

Space and setting serve as crucial elements in their music-making, from a former multi-story car park, to the Muziekgebouw loading bay, to Aldeburgh’s historic Jubilee Theatre, where audience members sat on stage as they performed from upright pianos in the stalls.

Join us for an exhilarating blend of technical mastery and visual drama from two of today’s most compelling pianists.
