Saxophonist, composer and arranger Chelsea Carmichael is one of the rising stars of the vibrant UK jazz scene. She has played with the likes of seed., Theon Cross, and the Outlook Orchestra. She has toured with international heavyweights Terence Blanchard, and Courtney Pine.

Tonight she leads her own quartet playing original music from her debut album The River Doesn’t Like Strangers. The album is the first release on Shabaka Hutchings’ newly launched Native Rebel Recordings label.

Chelsea’s music is influenced by her love of groove, intricate rhythms and electronic sounds.
