Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah is a two-time Edison Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated trumpeter, composer, producer, instrument designer and music executive. Christian’s Grammy nominated international recording debut, Rewind That, was called arguably the most remarkable premiere the genre has seen in the last decade by Billboard Magazine.
Tonight Christian presents music from his latest release Ruler Rebel, the first record from his new series The Centennial Trilogy, which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the first jazz record in 1917. Stretching the work of Trap music with West African beats and New Orleanian styles – Ruler Rebel speaks to a myriad of issues from xenophobia to gender equality, evaluating the social political realities of the world using sound.
