A welcome return for the 2018 winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition. Opening with Bach, he continues with Schumann’s popular Arabesque, and his intimate and reflective Forest Scenes. The recital ends with Schubert’s penultimate sonata. The work includes a poignant Andantino second movement, the middle section of which Alfred Brendel has described as ‘among the most daring and terrifying pages in all music.
